About Etna 24/7 Plumbing
A plumbing service for Etna, Ohio and the towns around it, with a person on the line at any hour.
Who we are
Etna 24/7 Plumbing serves homeowners and small businesses in Etna Township and the towns around it in Licking County. The business address is 9031 Hazelton-Etna Rd SW, Etna, OH 43018.
The idea is simple. Plumbing problems do not keep office hours, so the phone is answered every hour of every day. You describe the problem, we ask a few questions, and you get a plain next step: what to shut off, what to leave alone and when a plumber can come.
Where we work
Our base is in Etna Township, in the southwestern corner of Licking County, where US-40 (the old National Road) meets State Route 310. From there we reach Pataskala to the north, Kirkersville to the east and Reynoldsburg to the west, plus the smaller communities on the service areas page.
Knowing the roads matters in an emergency, and so does knowing the paperwork. Licking County, Franklin County and the cities inside them handle plumbing permits differently, so every town guide on this site explains who to ask. We confirm the rule for your address before work begins, and we explain it in plain words so there are no surprises later.
Permits, registration and paperwork
In Licking County, plumbers must be registered with the Licking County Health Department, and a permit is required for new plumbing and for installing, extensively altering or repairing it. The county rule excepts replacing a fixture with the same or similar fixture in the same location, and permitted work gets rough-in and final inspections.
Franklin County and the cities inside it follow their own offices, which is why each town guide on this site says who to ask. Before work begins we tell you whether a permit applies to your job, and we can explain what the inspector will look at. Commercial contractors are licensed separately by the state.
How a call works

The plumber explains the price before work starts
Once the cause is found, the price for the job is explained first and the work begins only after you agree.
What we handle, and what we do not
We handle residential and small commercial plumbing: water heaters, drains, leaks, sewer lines, fixtures, sump pumps and more. The full list is on the services page.
Some things are outside plumbing. Septic tank pumping and foundation or structural repair belong to other trades. When a problem belongs to another trade, you will be told that plainly instead of being sold a repair that will not fix it.
Our standards
Plumbing work should follow the Ohio Plumbing Code, and some jobs such as water heater replacement or a new sewer connection may need a permit. Permit rules differ between townships, villages and cities, so we tell you when a permit is likely and who issues it for your address.
Pricing is explained before work starts. We do not publish prices on this site because the right number depends on what is found behind the wall, under the slab or down the line.
What to expect when the plumber arrives
The plumber starts by confirming the symptom you described and finding where the water or the blockage begins. For a leak, that means locating the shutoff and checking the fittings nearby. For a drain, it often means a cable or a camera at the cleanout. You are welcome to ask what was found before any work is agreed, and to have the cause explained in plain words.
Once the cause is clear, you hear the price and the options, including a smaller repair when one exists and the reason it may not last. Work starts after you agree. Afterward, ask for a short written note of what was done, so a landlord, an insurer or the next plumber can follow it. If you are a few miles outside our towns, call anyway and ask about coverage.
